Shikakai Plain
Shikakai, often called the “fruit for hair,” has been a traditional natural cleanser for generations. The dried fruit pods are ground into a fine powder, which, when mixed with water, can be applied directly to the scalp and hair. Though it doesn’t produce much lather on its own, soap nut (poochakai)—another valuable forest product—naturally provides the foaming quality found in commercial shampoos.
At Aadhimalai, members of the indigenous community sustainably harvest Shikakai and soap nuts from the forest. Once brought to our processing centers, the Shikakai is carefully powdered and blended with powdered soap nut. This powerful combination forms the base for a range of our natural hair care products, offering an eco-friendly and chemical-free alternative to conventional shampoos.

Shikakai Vettiver
Shikakai, known as the “fruit for hair,” has long been used in traditional hair care for its gentle cleansing properties. When dried and powdered, it becomes a natural shampoo alternative. To enhance its benefits, we blend it with Vettiver (vetiver roots)—a cooling and aromatic herb known for its ability to nourish the scalp, reduce dandruff, and promote healthy hair growth.
At Aadhimalai, Shikakai and Vettiver are responsibly collected by indigenous communities from the forest. They are brought to our centers, where the ingredients are cleaned, dried, and powdered with care. This unique combination of Shikakai and Vettiver offers a natural, soothing, and refreshing hair wash experience—completely free from chemicals and synthetic fragrances.

Shikakai Nelli
Shikakai, or “fruit for hair,” is a gentle natural cleanser that has been trusted for generations. When combined with Nelli (Amla)—a powerful ingredient rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants—it becomes a nourishing hair care blend that strengthens the roots, prevents hair fall, and adds a natural shine.
At Aadhimalai, tribal communities sustainably gather Shikakai and Nelli from forest areas. These ingredients are brought to our centers, where they are carefully cleaned, dried, and ground into a fine powder. The result is a wholesome, chemical-free hair cleanser that supports scalp health and promotes strong, healthy hair from root to tip.

Shikakai Hybiscus
Traditional hair care meets nature’s floral remedy in this blend of Shikakai and Hibiscus. While Shikakai gently cleanses the scalp, Hibiscus flowers and leaves help condition the hair, reduce dryness, and encourage hair growth by strengthening the roots.
Collected by indigenous communities, both Shikakai and Hibiscus are processed at our centers with utmost care. The dried ingredients are powdered and blended to create a nourishing, natural alternative to commercial shampoos.
